About the position

The Embedded Cybersecurity Engineer will focus on creating and updating technical documentation regarding the security capabilities of a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) device. This role involves reviewing vendor documentation, assisting engineers with the implementation of secure boot processes, and documenting findings in a white paper format. The position requires collaboration with engineers and project managers to ensure comprehensive oversight and guidance throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update technical documentation on the security capabilities of a COTS device.
  • Review vendor documentation to complete internal reports.
  • Assist engineers with the implementation of an initial secure boot on a system.
  • Document all findings in the form of a white paper summary.

Requirements

  • Experience in embedded systems with a focus on cybersecurity.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Understanding of embedded systems including application interfaces, hardware, and drivers.
  • Knowledge of secure boot and bootstrap sequences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Python programming.
  • Familiarity with driver development.
  • Experience in conducting demonstrations related to secure boot.
