PACCAR has a consistent need for Embedded Hardware Engineers responsible for the electrical and electronic component/subsystem design, and electrical integration into heavy-duty vehicles. This position welcomes engineers at all levels, providing opportunities to work on various projects and responsibilities. The Embedded Hardware Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and releasing electrical and electronic components and systems specifically for heavy commercial trucks. This includes integrating vehicle and drive line controls into the vehicle's electrical systems, ensuring that all components meet industry-leading quality and reliability standards. The role involves completing engineering change notice documentation to manage both old and new parts, utilizing proprietary software to issue part bid requests. The engineer will lead electronics engineering and project management processes to maintain schedules, budgets, and functionality. Additionally, the engineer will plan and track the validation of components, support launches at truck assembly plants, and resolve field issues as they arise. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the engineer will collaborate with mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other professionals to ensure high-quality electrical designs for heavy-duty trucks. Investigating and resolving warranty issues related to power train electrical claims will also be part of the responsibilities.
