About the position

We are seeking a Senior/Principal Embedded Networking Engineer who will serve as our primary technical expert in the development of cutting-edge high-speed embedded communication networks specifically designed for the autonomous vehicle industry. This role is pivotal as it involves working with the latest technologies and protocols that are essential for the advancement of autonomous vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting embedded networking solutions that meet the rigorous demands of the automotive sector. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in embedded systems, particularly with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and Linux, to create robust networking solutions. You will be expected to troubleshoot hardware issues, ensuring that the communication networks function seamlessly within the vehicles. As the primary technical expert, you will also be responsible for staying abreast of new developments in ethernet protocols and integrating these into our systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with hands-on experience in embedded systems. Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical expert for embedded networking solutions in autonomous vehicles.
  • Design and implement high-speed embedded communication networks.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues related to embedded systems.
  • Stay updated on new ethernet protocols and integrate them into existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of networking solutions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study.
  • Experience with RTOS and/or Linux embedded systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, not just networking.
  • Willingness to learn new ethernet protocols in the automotive sector.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of IEEE 802.3 Clauses 22 & 45 (MDIO) Management Data Input/Output.
