About the position

We are seeking a Senior/Principal Embedded Networking Engineer who will serve as our primary technical expert in the development of the latest generation of high-speed embedded communication networks specifically designed for the autonomous vehicle industry. This role is critical as it involves working with cutting-edge technology that is at the forefront of innovation in the automotive sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded networking solutions that ensure reliable and efficient communication within autonomous vehicles. This position requires a deep understanding of both hardware and software components, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues that may arise during the development process. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects, to create robust networking solutions that meet the stringent requirements of the automotive industry. You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest advancements in networking technologies and protocols, and to apply this knowledge to enhance our product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, particularly with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and Linux, and will be comfortable working with various communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and wireless technologies like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study.
  • Experience with RTOS and/or Linux Embedded systems.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and wireless protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience troubleshooting networking hardware.
  • Willingness to learn new Ethernet protocols in the automotive sector.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of IEEE 802.3 Clauses 22 & 45 (MDIO) Management Data Input/Output.
