About the position

The Embedded Security Service Installation Technician/Product Manager role at ALLCOM GLOBAL SERVICES involves providing on-site service, installation, and maintenance of various electronic security systems. The position requires a strong background in integrated security solutions, with responsibilities including troubleshooting, customer training, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • On-site service, maintain, install, and configure various types of electronic systems, including access control and video systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements.
  • Perform on-site service to troubleshoot and repair installed systems.
  • Collaborate with customers and end-users to understand their needs and provide recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements.
  • Assist with new programming of related security software.
  • Use power tools and other equipment to mount, secure, and connect system components.
  • Ensure that all installations are completed according to industry standards and regulations.
  • Test and verify system functionality after installation, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Provide training to customers on how to use and maintain installed systems.

Requirements

  • 10 years of integrated security experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturer Certification is preferred in LENEL, AMAG, GENETEC, AXIS, HANWAH MILSTONE, EXACQ VISION, etc.
  • Proven experience as an installation technician.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with integrated security systems and service technician practices.
  • Basic computer hardware knowledge is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and end users effectively and professionally.
