About the position

The Embedded Software Architect at ASML is responsible for designing and coding software for distributed control systems in a fast-paced and innovative environment. This role involves collaborating with software and control system engineers to develop high-quality software solutions that meet customer requirements, focusing on modularity, reusability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Working in a team of highly skilled software and cross-functional engineers responsible for delivering software solutions that enable the ever-increasing miniaturization of semiconductor technology.
• Develop software using C++.
• Create designs and implement code that is modular, scalable, robust, and meets customer requirements.
• Perform unit testing and on-target testing to ensure the software meets high-quality standards.
• Evaluate technical issues, risks, and dependencies for projects.
• Interface with stakeholders to gather a complete understanding of their requirements.
• Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.
• Participate in continuous process improvement activities aimed at enhancing the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum of BS in Computer Science or related engineering/science fields; MS is a plus.
• 6-10 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with UML.
• Familiarity with VxWorks RTOS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with INTEGRITY RTOS.
