About the position

The Embedded Software Developer at Brockwell Technologies, Inc. is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing systems at the registry level for multi-core embedded Real-Time-Operating-System platforms. This role supports the development of future Army Aviation Platforms and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet strict timing, safety, and reliability standards.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage multi-core architectures for real-time applications by developing efficient task scheduling and load-balancing strategies.
  • Work directly with hardware registers to optimize performance, handle interrupts, and manage low-level hardware interactions.
  • Integrate RTOS with multi-core hardware components, ensuring compatibility across various processors, microcontrollers, and peripheral interfaces.
  • Develop test cases and debugging strategies to ensure reliable and stable system performance across cores.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and industry standards for safety-critical and real-time applications.
  • Work with hardware engineers, application developers, and quality assurance teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for RTOS configurations, multi-core architecture, and user guides.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
  • 4-6 years of experience working with embedded systems
  • 1-3 years experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems
  • 4 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or applicable field of study)
