About the position
Cimarron Software Services Inc is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate software for the Axiom Space Commercial Space Station in Houston, TX. This role is crucial for the development of embedded software for commercial human spaceflight modules, requiring collaboration with various stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and deploy embedded software solutions for various flight systems including propulsion and environmental control.
- Test and integrate embedded software in both prototype and flight environments.
- Communicate with subject matter experts and management during the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain software configuration control and management processes.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience developing software using C++ in a Linux environment.
- Familiarity with embedded communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, RS-232/422/485, and ethernet.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Nice-to-haves
- Flight software experience.
- Experience with JIRA, GitLab, Innoslate, JAMA, and Confluence.
