As the Embedded Software Engineering Manager 2, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the people, resources, and processes required to deliver new software or upgrade existing products. This role involves leading a team of up to 15 direct reports, executing performance reviews, staffing programs, and supporting the career development of employees. You will provide technical oversight of design, development, and integration of software components, while also supporting the team in identifying and addressing impediments to the attainment of goals. Your leadership will drive sustainable continuous improvement by collating and deriving insights from data, and you will generate proposal and estimate inputs for new work. In this position, you will act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and guide the team in compliance with the Internal Software Development Plan (iSDP) and the Agile Development Plan (ADP). You will coordinate with other disciplines when needed, such as Systems and Hardware, and ensure that the team adheres to appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools using Agile development methodology. This role is critical in supporting the organization’s mission to provide secure, affordable, integrated, and multi-domain systems and technologies.
