About the position

The Testing Engineer (II) will be responsible for test automation of connected solutions at Hampton Products. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test plans to ensure product quality, while collaborating with development, product management, and Quality Assurance teams to identify testing requirements and implement automated testing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for connected smart products.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product functionality and identify test automation needs.
  • Conduct performance, regression, and functional testing to ensure product reliability and robustness.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
  • Recommend and implement best practices for test automation and quality assurance, train others as needed.
  • Continuously improve test automation processes and methodologies to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in test automation technologies.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and documentation to communicate test results and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • No less than 5 years of progressive experience in test automation, focusing on embedded systems or IoT devices.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Extensive experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
  • In-depth knowledge of wireless technologies including Bluetooth, NFC, and cellular technologies, protocols, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven solid experience with test certification, including FCC compliance, UL, Bluetooth, and CE.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
