EMC - CONSTRUCTION - PLUMBING DRAFTER

About the position

EMC Mechanical Services is seeking a Plumbing Drafter skilled in Revit and AutoCAD to join our team and support our current and future projects. As a Drafter on our team, you will be responsible for providing detailed 3D models, identifying and resolving clashes with models, and creating workable coordination documents. Your role is key in ensuring seamless integration of plumbing systems into projects.

Responsibilities

• Model plumbing systems based on documents or verbal instruction.
• Prepare views and sheets with Revit for shop drawings that will facilitate pre-fabrication.
• Annotate and dimension drawings to allow for a smooth workflow in the field to include sections and schedules.
• Collaborate within the team, as well as with contractors on projects, to ensure accurate and seamless modeling.
• Create and edit Revit families for projects and help create new company standards for future projects.
• Develop and implement BIM standards alongside the team.
• Review markups with Bluebeam and implement these changes in existing models.
• Draft high-quality as-built products in AutoCAD, adhering to PPM standards.
• Additional responsibilities required based on project scope.

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering Technology, CAD Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in Revit and AutoCAD modeling/drafting for plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Robust analytical skills and a drive to solve problems.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards for plumbing and mechanical systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with interpreting construction drawing and specifications is required.
