About the position

The EMC/RF Engineering Technician role at Sporton International involves performing various EMC/RF tests according to product specifications and requirements. The technician will analyze test data, generate reports, and assist in engineering verification tests while collaborating with team members and supervisors. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining the integrity of testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform various types of EMC/RF tests according to product specifications and EMC test requirements
• Analyze and compare test data, write and generate test reports
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Execute engineering verification tests (EVT) following established test plans
• Complete assignments from supervisor with guidance from senior engineers
• Interface well with team members, supervisors, and customers
• Assist in regular audits and maintain the test site

Requirements

• Experience working directly related to EMC/electronics (a plus but not required)
• Knowledge and use of general lab equipment such as multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc. (a plus but not required)
• Experience/Knowledge in consumer electronic products test field
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively with engineers and management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Associate degree or equivalent
