About The Position
The Emergency Care Attendant (ECA) is responsible for providing timely and efficient pre-hospital basic life support care and transportation for sick and injured patients. This role involves working closely with an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and requires adherence to local, state, national, and Acadian Ambulance standards of practice. The ECA operates an ambulance or shuttle vehicle, ensuring safe transport and care of patients while maintaining equipment and documentation standards.
