About the position

The Emergency Coverage Security Guard position at GardaWorld involves providing security services with a focus on excellent customer service. The role requires flexibility to work on short notice, including overnight and weekend shifts, and the ability to adapt to various working environments. The guard will be responsible for monitoring activities, responding to emergencies, and maintaining detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Screen trucks at the gate before they enter the site, including seal cutting and checking driver paperwork.
• Patrol upstairs/downstairs and inside/outside the building at different points throughout the shift.
• Perform paper log and extensive computer data entry.
• Use computer truck yard management programs throughout the day.
• Answer phones and handle email correspondence.
• Check and log visitor and employee access.
• Conduct metal detector/wanding at the entrance.
• Perform vehicle patrols and lock-up tours.
• Respond rapidly in critical situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass an extensive screening process.
• Experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
• Extensive computer proficiency.
