About the position

The Emergency Department Clinical RN Coordinator at HCA HealthONE Aurora is responsible for overseeing the direction and coordination of all functions within the emergency department during designated shifts. This role involves ensuring the quality of patient care services, serving as a resource for nursing staff, and making decisions based on established standards in collaboration with the management team.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift.
  • Function as a resource person for staff members and assist in necessary education of individual nursing staff.
  • Ensure the overall quality of nursing care provided when on duty.
  • Make decisions regarding activities based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit.

Requirements

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association or America Red Cross required within 30 days of hire.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention/Advanced CPI certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • TNCC and ENPC certifications required within six months of hire.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Two years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of the unit preferred.
  • Six months leadership/management experience is required.
