Responsibilities

• Assists the professional nurse in patient care activities.
• Monitors patients' vital signs and provides emergency care as needed.
• Transports patients and medical samples under the direction of the RN.
• Assists with medical procedures and specimen collection.
• Documents patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Restocks supplies and maintains cleanliness in patient rooms and nursing stations.
• Completes quality control checks on equipment and reports discrepancies.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required upon hire.
• Current EMT, ERT, Paramedic certification, or certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry required upon hire.
• Six months of recent direct patient care experience in an acute care, long-term care, or home care setting.
• Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or LPN licensure upon hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous Emergency Room experience (1 or more years).
• Current CNA or NST experience (1 or more years).
• Paramedic, EMT, ERT, LPN, CNA, PCA certifications.

Benefits

• Wages starting at $23.15/hr, increasing with relevant experience.
• Shift differentials: $2/hr for evenings, $3/hr for nights, $2/hr for weekends.
