About The Position
The Emergency Department Technician (EDT) plays a crucial role in supporting the Emergency Department at Saddleback Medical Center. This position involves working under the direction of Registered Nurses to provide basic patient care, maintain effective communication among healthcare practitioners, and ensure accurate documentation in patient medical records. The EDT is responsible for assisting with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes, as well as performing essential tasks such as vital sign measurement and data collection. The role is vital in contributing to a safe and efficient environment for patient care in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team setting.
