About The Position

The Emergency Management Intern at Atlantic Health System will support the Emergency Management Department by assisting with various projects aimed at enhancing emergency preparedness and response capabilities. This role provides an opportunity for students to gain practical experience in a healthcare setting while contributing to the organization's mission of delivering excellent healthcare services.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
• In good academic standing
• Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
• Pursuing a degree in Emergency Management, Nursing, Logistic/Supply Chain or a similarly related field
• EMT experience is strongly preferred
• US Citizen or permanent resident
• Proficient with Excel & Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist projects related to Emergency Preparedness Program
• Identify and Map Emergency Department Assets
• Establish and Build Out Command Centers for Emergency Departments across locations
• Engage and provide updates to Emergency Trainings and Exercises
• Help with ad hoc tasks as assigned
