The Emergency Medical Services Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) is outward facing and serves our patients as their care representative during transports between Catholic Health facilities. They will have responsibilities for responding to calls and providing Emergency Medical Services to those in need. The EMT-B will work safely and efficiently while operating an emergency vehicle delivering emergency personnel to the scene and patients to the hospitals. The associate will be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and perform lifesaving duties. The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician will also assist emergency personnel and be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an emergency vehicle delivering emergency personnel to the scene and victims to the hospital. The EMT will be required to safely operate a variety of related emergency services equipment. When not driving or assisting emergency personnel on the scene, the employee will perform routine clerical duties as well as maintenance and upkeep of vehicles, equipment, supplies and instruments. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the EMT-Paramedic. An employee in this class is generally not required to supervise others. The EMT will perform all related duties as required.
