About The Position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position at The George Washington University Hospital's Emergency Department involves providing critical support in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• Current EMT certification (National or DC).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the care of emergency patients by performing tasks such as vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and patient transport.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by preparing exam rooms, restocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is functional.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide efficient and effective patient care.
• Support physicians and nurses during procedures and in emergency situations.
• Document care and observations in the patient's medical record according to hospital standards.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and patient privacy protocols.
