About the position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position at Geisinger involves providing emergency medical care to patients in a clinical environment. Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Administer basic life support and gather patient data.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and respect patient rights.
• Transport patients according to outlined policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Operate and drive the ambulance in compliance with safety policies and laws.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Valid Driver's License
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Certified Emergency Medical Technician - State of Pennsylvania
