About The Position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Heartland Ambulance Service plays a crucial role in providing emergency medical care and transportation services to patients. Requirements

• Valid State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current and valid Driver's License.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• No more than 2 accidents and/or moving violations in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other company equipment.
• Basic life support treatment and transportation of sick and injured persons.
• Providing emergency medical treatment.
• Preparing inventories and stocking supplies and inspecting equipment for proper operation.
• Cleaning and disinfecting the interior of the ambulance.
• Cleaning and detailing the exterior of the ambulance.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and proper stocking of the ambulance, company vehicles, equipment, office, lounge, and bathrooms.
• Safely lifting, transferring, and maneuvering patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences, and other locations.
