About the position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position at Allegiance Mobile Health involves responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing direct patient care, and ensuring the readiness of emergency vehicles and equipment. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality medical assistance in various situations, requiring strong customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls 24 hours a day.
• Drive emergency vehicles in various road conditions, including inclement weather and dense traffic.
• Provide direct patient care according to competencies and protocols.
• Lift, carry, transport, and extricate patients as needed.
• Complete accurate and detailed patient care reports and billing information.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in a constant state of readiness.
• Assist with vehicle re-supply and equipment decontamination.
• Interact respectfully with outside agencies and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete daily vehicle and supply checklists.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified as an EMT in the State of Texas.
• CPR certification.
• Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
• Valid Texas driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 125 lbs. independently.
• Customer service skills.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Previous experience in emergency care is preferred.
• Ability to cope well under hazardous and high-stress situations.
• Quick thinking and compassion while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
