About the position
This position is for an emergency medicine physician providing locum tenens coverage at multiple facilities in California, including Hemet, Sun City, Santa Ana, and Victorville. The role involves working 10 or 12-hour shifts in a standard emergency department setting, managing a diverse patient population across all ages, and requires prescriptive authority.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages.
- Manage a case load of approximately 13,000 patients per year.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, including double coverage during shifts.
- Utilize prescriptive authority as required for patient care.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with a valid medical license in California.
- Board certification in emergency medicine or equivalent experience.
- Experience in emergency medicine with the ability to handle a diverse patient population.
