About the position

This position is for a physician providing emergency department coverage at a facility with a high volume of patients and a mix of acuity levels. The role requires the physician to be available for various shifts and to perform all relevant emergency department procedures. The physician will work alongside a team of emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure quality care for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a high-acuity environment.
• Perform all relevant emergency department procedures as required.
• Collaborate with a team of emergency medicine physicians and support staff.
• Maintain active DEA privileges in the state for the duration of employment.
• Ensure compliance with vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 and flu vaccines.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
• Must maintain DEA privileges in the state.
• Current flu vaccine and full vaccination for COVID-19, with exemptions allowed for approved medical or religious reasons.
