About the position

American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position in Harvey, Illinois. This role involves working night shifts for a duration of 13 weeks, providing essential care in a fast-paced emergency room environment. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency room setting.
• Assess and monitor patients' conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Requirements

• 1+ year of recent experience in emergency room nursing.
• Valid nursing license as required by the state of Illinois.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA recommended and may be required.
• Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required.
