Emergency Technician

About the position

The Emergency Technician at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA, is responsible for performing basic emergency medical and trauma procedures under the supervision of the Emergency Department Nurse Manager or Supervisor. This part-time, per diem role involves delivering patient care to a diverse age-specific population and participating in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic emergency medical and trauma procedures as directed.
• Deliver patient care to assigned age-specific populations, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Participate in continuing education related to emergency medical care.
• Work variable 12-hour shifts as needed.

Requirements

• California Emergency Medical Technician License or California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License or California Paramedic License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• 1 year of patient care or clinical experience.
