About the position

The Emerging Outsourced Accounting Services (eOAS) Manager at Forvis Mazars, LLP is responsible for leading client engagements in the outsourced accounting services group. This role emphasizes providing unmatched client service in a dynamic environment, focusing on the monthly, quarterly, and annual close of accounting records, as well as assisting with client onboarding and technology integration. The position also involves mentoring a team of accounting professionals and participating in business development activities.

Responsibilities

• In-charge client engagements for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close of accounting records.
• Assist with reporting for management and the budgeting process.
• Support leadership in onboarding new clients, including Sage Intacct implementation and enhancements.
• Reconcile prior and current accounting records and integrate technology tools to streamline accounting processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of Outsourced Accounting professionals, focusing on teaching and professional development.
• Participate in the proposal process for prospective clients.
• Represent Forvis Mazars in the professional and business community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of combined experience in public accounting and organizational accounting operations.
• Experience with accounting system operations, financial statement preparation, and supervision of accounting and payroll functions.
• Ability to learn and navigate several accounting packages and add-on platforms.
• Experience with Sage Intacct.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in monthly/period processing and closing, financial statement analysis and preparation.
• CPA, CGMA, or CMA certification.
• Expertise in Sage Intacct and experience with its implementation and enhancements.
• NetSuite user experience.
• Business development experience.
