About the position

The Employee Administration Coordinator at Virginia Tech plays a crucial role in supporting the Employee Administration team by processing tickets in TeamDynamix and assisting with employee transactions. The coordinator will work closely with all members of the Employee Administration team and the HR Service Center, especially during peak periods, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. In this role, the coordinator will be responsible for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing them to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of organization. The position requires proficiency in MS Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to facilitate daily operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the coordinator will interact with various stakeholders within the university. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute positively to the team environment, supporting colleagues and enhancing the overall efficiency of the Employee Administration department. This part-time, hourly wage position is based in Blacksburg, Virginia, with a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility in the work environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Nice-to-haves
