About the position

The Employee and Labor Relations Manager at Shasta Regional Medical Center is responsible for implementing and maintaining labor relations programs, policies, and procedures. This role ensures satisfactory labor-management relations, interprets collective bargaining agreements, and leads grievance procedures while assisting management on labor matters. The position requires a strong background in labor relations, particularly within hospital systems and union administration.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the company's labor relations programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure satisfactory labor-management relations and assist in interpreting collective bargaining agreements.
  • Lead grievance procedures and provide assistance to management on labor matters.
  • Track and trend labor issues and provide input to the Collective Bargaining strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience at a management or senior administrative level related to employee/labor relations.
  • Experience coaching and influencing managers and senior executives.
  • Knowledge of Labor law as it relates to CBA administration and Labor and Employment Law.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a calm temperament.
  • Ability to independently organize, prioritize, and schedule work effectively.
  • Ability to work well under time constraints and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
