About the position

The Account Coordinator will support the Employee Benefits department by delivering exceptional benefits solutions to clients. This role offers high visibility to senior leadership and opportunities for career advancement within the insurance industry. The coordinator will work closely with client services and agency leadership, gaining valuable experience while helping clients prepare for the unexpected.

Responsibilities

  • Support client retention by maintaining a positive image with clients.
  • Assist with creating open enrollment guides and finalizing client presentations for new business and renewal meetings.
  • Gather information related to underwriting, data analytics, marketing, and HR service through internal departments and outside vendor partners.
  • Maintain relationships with carriers and coordinate meetings as needed.
  • Run or obtain reports from carrier systems.
  • Enter accurate client information into the agency management system and export data as needed.
  • Prepare for RFPs by obtaining necessary information and distributing RFPs to identified markets, ensuring deadlines are met by carriers.
  • Prepare all required client-facing proposals and documents for the Account Executive and assist in tracking data and changes.
  • Engage in self-directed learning to increase industry knowledge and maintain carrier updates in a shared document environment.
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling meetings with carriers as instructed by the Account Executive.

Requirements

  • Open to obtaining a Life and Health license with agency support after six months of employment.
  • Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Employee Navigator experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and conscientiousness.
  • Efficient prioritization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service focus.
  • Ability to quickly learn multiple software systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar systems, including spreadsheets, email, word processing, and presentation software.
