About the position

The Employee Benefits Account Manager will manage fully insured client accounts, focusing on providing solutions and maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers. This role involves overseeing day-to-day account management, preparing client presentations, and ensuring compliance with federal legislation guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of employee benefit accounts.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with clients including Owners, CEOs, CFOs, and HR personnel.
  • Prepare client renewal presentations and overall communication strategies.
  • Prepare employee education and open enrollment materials.
  • Maintain relationships with carrier representatives and stay updated on new products and market trends.
  • Utilize technology and compliance resources for client solutions.
  • Manage overall EDI/API feed process to ensure client eligibility is accurate and timely.
  • Present clients with solutions to employee benefit concerns using carrier expertise and compliance guidance.
  • Educate clients on risk management protocols and review potential exposures of client contracts.
  • Assist in preparing bid specifications for Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse client population, from senior citizens to C-suite executives.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build benefits into Benefits Administration systems.
  • Strong communication skills to address benefit questions or concerns.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems and Zywave.
  • Knowledge of federal legislation guidelines related to employee benefits.
