About the position

The Employee Benefits Account Manager at Wilshire Benefits Group is a full-time role focused on managing a select portfolio of clients in the employee benefits sector. This position emphasizes building strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and staying informed about industry trends and regulatory compliance. The Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for clients, leading projects related to carrier implementations and renewals, and facilitating annual Open Enrollment meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain connections with HR contacts and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling their needs with accuracy and flair.
  • Lead the charge on carrier implementations and renewals.
  • Craft and finalize all employee communications, including Benefit Guides and Open Enrollment presentations.
  • Schedule and facilitate annual Open Enrollment meetings.
  • Train HR Contacts on Employee Navigator or other Benefit Administration portals.
  • Resolve escalated employee-level issues effectively.
  • Assist in key client-facing meetings regarding opportunities, renewals, and compliance.
  • Cultivate relationships with the carrier community and stay updated on trends.
  • Identify client needs and propose innovative products and services.
  • Stay informed about regulatory issues and federal laws impacting employee benefits.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or a minimum of five years of experience in the employee benefits industry.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional customer service commitment.
  • Strong interaction skills with key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance carriers and employee benefits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • An active license in Life and Health.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
