About the position

The Account Manager at HUB International plays a crucial role in supporting the Producer by managing day-to-day business needs and ensuring effective communication between clients and the service team. This position is essential for maintaining client relationships, handling administrative tasks, and facilitating smooth transitions during carrier changes.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the planning calendar and renewal timeline to manage tasks such as census requests, client follow-ups, and carrier follow-ups.
  • Prepares spreadsheets, PowerPoints, and contribution scenarios for client presentations based on Producers' recommendations.
  • Checks all work for accuracy and ensures data is logical and organized.
  • Develops and assists in creating Benefit Summaries for clients.
  • Assists clients with escalated claims, billing, and policy issues, documenting all interactions in Benefit Point.
  • Analyzes and researches ongoing plan evaluations and reviews client renewals with the Producer.
  • Attends client meetings to establish working relationships and conducts employee benefit educational meetings.
  • Ensures smooth implementation and transition processes for all carrier changes under the Producer's direction.
  • Communicates and documents major issues and changes, ensuring all submissions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Stays informed about changes in employee benefits and shares knowledge with clients and team members.
  • Mentors Internal Service Representatives (ISR) and assists in their growth and development.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefit plans, including HMOs, PPOs, HSAs, and ancillary coverage such as life and disability insurance.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in benefits, finance, or human resources preferred.
  • An earned Georgia Life and Health license.
