About the position

The Communication Specialist plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the sales and service teams at AssuredPartners. This position is primarily focused on the presentation of employee benefits to a diverse clientele, ensuring that clients receive tailored and effective communication regarding their benefits. The Communication Specialist will be responsible for creating and delivering customized presentation materials that will be utilized across various communication channels, including recorded webinars, in-person meetings, and virtual meetings. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism and communication. In this position, the Communication Specialist will communicate benefits information to all clients' employees, which includes conducting in-person benefits meetings, hosting webinars, and providing one-on-one employee support. The role demands strong presentation skills to effectively engage large groups of employees and ensure that they understand their benefits options. Coordination with the service team is essential to guarantee that all necessary resources are available and that there is a comprehensive understanding of each client's specific benefits offerings. Additionally, the Communication Specialist must possess a clear understanding of the carrier's product offerings and processes to provide accurate information to clients. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a team environment, is dependable, and possesses excellent written and oral communication skills. This position offers flexibility, allowing for part-time work on an ‘as-needed’ basis, particularly during peak season from October 1st to November 30th. The role also involves a significant amount of travel, expected to be between 60-70%.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate benefits information to all clients' employees, including in-person benefits meetings, webinars, and one-on-one employee support.
  • Provide professional presentation skills to large groups of employees.
  • Coordinate with the service team to ensure all resources are available and ensure a firm understanding of each respective client's benefits.
  • Have a clear understanding of carrier's product offerings and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in human resources or benefits administration.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of laws and regulations impacting employee benefits.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience with public presentations.
