About the position

The Employee Benefits Coordinator at Republic Finance is a full-time role responsible for managing the company's employee benefits programs and overseeing the leave of absence process. This position is crucial in ensuring that employees are well-informed about their benefits and that all related processes are executed efficiently. The role emphasizes customer service, organizational skills, and adherence to company policies, contributing to the overall mission of enhancing employee satisfaction and community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Administer new hire benefits enrollments and annual employee benefits enrollments into various benefit plans.
  • Distribute employee benefits information and answer questions regarding benefits coverages or claims issues.
  • Initiate disability claims with the appropriate benefits carrier.
  • Reconcile benefits invoices with enrollment data to ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with benefits broker to review various benefits offerings.
  • Become familiar with self-funded health plan mechanics and financial review.
  • Administer leave of absence requests and communications.
  • Create leave of absence reporting and manage FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and Worker's Compensation leave situations.
  • Administer 401(k) enrollments and coordinate with payroll regarding loan payments and deferrals.
  • Assist with annual 401(k) audit and provide benefits-related month-end reports to accounting.
  • Create educational webinars describing the company's benefit offerings.
  • Initiate Worker's Compensation claims and seek process improvements.
  • Handle various projects as assigned.
