About the position

The Employee Communications Specialist at The Auto Club Group plays a crucial role in enhancing internal communication within the organization. Under moderate guidance and supervision, the specialist will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing standard internal communication documents, articles, or emails tailored for both management and non-management audiences. This position involves developing, publishing, and updating content for the company intranet, external communication portals, and other interactive media. The specialist will also be tasked with updating and publishing company policies and procedures as directed, ensuring that all communications effectively increase employee awareness and knowledge of products, services, and company activities while adhering to established communication standards. In addition to content creation, the Employee Communications Specialist will conduct routine tasks and assignments, obtain necessary approvals, and ensure cost-effective completion within specified deadlines. The role requires analyzing possible solutions and standard procedures to address straightforward problems, identifying employee information and communication needs, and making recommendations for improvements to communication methods, processes, and procedures. The specialist will use sound judgment to escalate issues to senior staff when necessary and may participate in communication project teams or assist with audio/visual equipment as needed. This position offers a competitive salary range of $56,000 to $62,000 annually, with potential for annual bonuses based on performance. Responsibilities

  • Research, write, and edit internal communication documents, articles, or emails for various audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in writing articles for publications.
  • Experience in web and graphics design.
  • Proficiency in writing, editing, proofreading, and organizing content for web and print.
  • Experience in interviewing subject matter experts.
  • Ability to create instructional documents, help guides, or job aids.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of video production and editing.
  • Experience in layout, photo editing, and basic photography.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint functionality.
