About the position

Shore United Bank is seeking a full-time Employee Engagement and Relations Manager to join our team. The Employee Engagement and Relations Manager will oversee performance management, employee relations, and employee experience initiatives within our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing employee relations, addressing and resolving issues, and ensuring the organization maintains a fair, legally compliant, and respectful work environment. You will design and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, professional development, and overall satisfaction. Working closely with the HR team and management, you will ensure that the company's values are consistently reflected in all aspects of employee relations and the employee experience. This position also serves as a culture champion, helping to maintain and strengthen the organization's workplace culture. Responsibilities

  • Oversight of performance management and employee relations.
  • Administer all stages of the discipline process.
  • Partner with counsel on employment related legal matters.
  • Conduct thorough, effective and unbiased investigations in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations and procedures.
  • Oversee the company's performance management and appraisal processes.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on the company's employment policies.
  • Provide counseling and coaching to managers related to employee conflict resolution, disciplinary action and/or termination.
  • Oversight of the company's employee experience programs and processes.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that foster a positive work environment, promote employee engagement and satisfaction; track and analyze the effectiveness of employee experience initiatives.
  • Oversee and administer the company's rewards and recognition programs.
  • Make recommendations on orientation and onboarding enhancements and use of technology to enhance the employee experience.
  • Measure and monitor data related to the employee experience and engagement.
  • Ensure feedback received from employee feedback channels is monitored, tracked and communicated.
  • Lead efforts to gather, analyze, and synthesize employee feedback and insights. Provide actionable recommendations that elevate employee engagement and satisfaction across the organization.
  • Serve as a culture champion, identifying and implementing activities and routines to create high levels of employee engagement.
  • Plan and manage team building events and activities.
  • Actively participate in HR planning and leadership activities.
  • Participate in the HR strategic planning process to ensure that activities support the company's strategic goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to ensure programs, policies and practices are executed smoothly.
  • In partnership with other HR functional areas, assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures in the employee handbook.
  • Develop, review and recommend new functionality, methods and procedures to increase departmental efficiency and/or enhance the employee experience.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in required training sessions, including training for compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Seven to 10 years of experience in a leadership role with an emphasis on employee experience, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change management, and/or culture initiatives.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and metrics to measure the effectiveness of employee experience and engagement initiatives.
  • BS/BA in business administration, human resources management, or relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, laws/regulations, and best practices.
