About the position

The Employee Health Medical Assistant or LPN role at Advocate Aurora Health involves supporting clinical duties within the Employee Health department. This position is responsible for assisting with fit testing, vaccine clinics, and minor first aid, while also collaborating with the PSA RN and other team members to implement injury action plans and ensure employee health safety. The role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts and the ability to travel locally to multiple sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Employee Health peers with clinical duties including fit testing and vaccine clinic support.
• Provide instruction on PAPR use when necessary.
• Conduct on-site fit testing and report updates at site safety huddles.
• Work closely with the PSA RN to assist team members at the assigned site.
• Assist PSA RN with the implementation of injury action plans.
• Prepare and administer vaccines and medications as needed.
• Document patient information into the electronic health record.

Requirements

• Valid LPN license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months unless exempted by department leader.
• Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA) certification from recognized organizations.
• Completion of an accredited program in Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant.
