About The Position

Stamford Health is looking for a Fulltime Temporary RN to join the Employee Health team! This is a full time TEMPORARY RN position covering a Leave of Absence! This is day shift Monday through Friday 7am to 3pm! Requirements

• RN with a current CT license.
• Degree from an NLN accredited school, BSN preferred.
• 3-5 years recent experience in occupational health or emergency medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Address the health, medical surveillance, episodic illness and work-related injuries of the Stamford Health System employee.
• Interact clinically with the physician assistant and office assistant, supervising physician, departmental managers, clinical departments, staff physicians and Human Resource personnel.
• Perform initial patient interviewing.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for physicals and workers' compensation.
• Provide minor episodic care treatment.
• Educate and counsel patients.
• Perform suture removal, wound checks, and redressing.
• Collect cultures.
• Administer injections and vaccinations.
• Conduct urine drug test collection with chain of custody.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Conduct PPD testing and interpretation.
• Provide special services such as ergonomic assessments and mask fit testing.
