About the position

The Employee & Labor Relations Consultant at Reynolds Memorial Hospital is responsible for maintaining positive employee and labor relations practices across assigned departments. This role involves implementing and overseeing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements, and providing guidance on employee relations issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain HR policies, programs, and training focused on employee/labor relations.
  • Advise hospital and management staff on employee and labor relations issues.
  • Recommend practices to maintain positive employer/employee relationships and promote morale.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of arbitrations and legal inquiries.
  • Interpret and educate staff on policies, values, and legal compliance related to employee relations.
  • Investigate employee issues and provide guidance to management on disciplinary actions and grievances.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field with two years of professional HR experience, or a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience.
  • Experience in employee and/or labor relations, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
  • SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification.
