About the position

The Employee Onboarding Specialist at X-energy is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive onboarding programs that facilitate the integration of new employees into the company. This role focuses on enhancing the employee experience from day one, promoting company culture, and ensuring that new hires have the necessary tools and resources to succeed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design and employee development, with a passion for improving onboarding processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs analysis to develop and deliver engaging training and development programs, workshops, and e-learning courses tailored to various employee needs and organizational goals.
  • Define learning objectives and content requirements using needs analysis information.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine content.
  • Utilize instructional design principles or collaborate with instructional designers to create effective and interactive learning materials.
  • Coach and mentor employees to enhance skills and further career development.
  • Administer and facilitate live, virtual, and combined training.
  • Evaluate and revise learning programs based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices for employee development and adult learning.
  • Attend training sessions on best practices.
  • Benchmark programs against industry standards.
  • Assess, design, deliver, and facilitate employee onboarding programs.
  • Assess career pathways and develop curriculum for career progression, including leader development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in a talent development, employee learning or training role in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years of general work experience, of which 4 years must be in a role directly related to employee learning and talent development program creation, implementation, or delivery.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and talent development.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective and impactful training sessions, workshops, and development programs for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with SMEs in a highly regulated, technical environment.
  • APTD or CPTD is preferred as well as experience with Docebo LMS.
