About the position

The Employee Relations Administrator plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships between employees and management at Dairy Farmers of America. This position involves providing support and guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws, and handling investigations and complaints with professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints with neutrality, impartiality, and confidentiality.
  • Use sound judgment to mitigate risk and form fact-based opinions to solve problems and make recommendations.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on company policies and employment law.
  • Review Integrity Helpline investigation reports and follow up with necessary questions and changes.
  • Facilitate the Integrity Helpline case management system, ensuring HR case details are complete and accurate before closing reports.
  • Assist with discipline documentation and processes for timely and appropriate intervention.
  • Support the implementation and evaluation of EEO and affirmative action program plans.
  • Prepare and analyze compliance reporting to meet Department of Labor requirements.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations and investigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Human Resources experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in internal investigations in a dynamic organization.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices in employee relations, benefits, and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of HR-related laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and Wage & Hour.
  • Strong work ethic with excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to identify and handle priority and/or sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues in diverse geographic locations.
  • Ability to influence and obtain buy-in from stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with compliance reporting for the Department of Labor.
  • Familiarity with EthicsPoint case management system.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
