About the position

The Employee Relations and Experience Manager at UW Credit Union is responsible for enhancing employee engagement and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role involves overseeing performance management, employee relations, and recognition programs, ensuring that employees feel valued and empowered. The manager will collaborate with various leaders across the organization, providing expert guidance on employee relations and legal matters while driving initiatives that amplify the employee voice. This hybrid position requires a strategic vision combined with hands-on execution to create an exceptional employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to administer all stages of the progressive discipline process.
  • Conduct thorough, effective, and unbiased investigations in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Measure and monitor data related to progressive discipline and terminations.
  • Oversee UWCU's Performance Management & appraisal processes with guidance from leadership.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and HR Business Partners on employment policies.
  • Oversee and administer UWCU's rewards & recognition programs.
  • Oversee the employee journey mapping process, ensuring improvements are executed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in employee relations and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct unbiased investigations and provide conflict resolution guidance.
  • Experience in overseeing employee engagement initiatives.
