The role is responsible for the implementation of ER strategies, programs and policies that promote productive and positive relationships between CCC managers, employees, and co-workers. This includes handling day-to-day ER matters, educating appropriate audiences, and managing risk and customer-impacting issues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of ER strategies, programs and policies that promote productive and positive relationships between managers, employees, and co-workers.
  • Formally respond to sensitive concerns and allegations by conducting internal investigations into allegations of misconduct, poor performance, and violations of internal policies.
  • Exercise sound judgement, discretion and decision-making to prevent and resolve issues and conflicts.
  • Follow ER-related policies and procedures in a consistent and expedient manner to ensure fair treatment of employees.
  • Help educate appropriate audiences to minimize legal risk and prevent unfair treatment of employees.
  • Participate in HR and ER strategy execution and ensure standardization of processes, tools, policies and programs.
  • Partner with People and Culture team and HR Field to identify manager training or cultural interventions.
  • Proactively scan for employment law changes and assess impact on CCC's policies and programs.
  • Build strong relationships with COE and HR Field, people leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Provide training on various employee-related topics to ensure adherence to compliance policies.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree
  • 3-5 years experience in a human resources partner role with 1-2 specifically in employee/labor relations
  • Deep knowledge of federal and state workplace legislation, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, ERISA, and investigative techniques.
  • Current with HR industry trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated competency of a 'coach first' problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent problem solving and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to influence across all levels.
