As an Employee Relations Coordinator, you will be responsible for guiding new team members throughout their first 90 days to ensure they have a successful onboarding experience. This role requires active participation in the interview and selection process, reviewing incident reports, and assisting with corrective actions. You will serve as the main point of contact for new team members, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback, while also connecting them to subject matter experts and providing direction on frequently asked topics. In addition, you will coach new team members on behaviors and actions to best assimilate into the Saputo culture, contribute to the organization, development, and execution of onboarding programs, and evaluate and recommend materials and methodologies to enhance the assimilation process. Establishing and maintaining relationships with external networks to gather best practices for employee engagement will also be a key part of your role. You will cooperate in a cross-functional manner as a change agent with all departments within the site, ensuring continuous improvement of policies and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Guide new team members throughout their first 90 days to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
  • Participate actively in the interview and selection process.
  • Review incident reports and assist with corrective actions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new team members for questions, concerns, and feedback.
  • Provide new team members with answers to questions and direction on frequently asked topics.
  • Act as a liaison for feedback to Plant Manager, HR Manager, and other staff members for continuous improvement of policies and processes.
  • Coach new team members on behaviors and actions to best assimilate into Saputo culture.
  • Provide direction to new team members on where to find information needed for training and employment-related topics.
  • Contribute to the organization, development, and execution of onboarding programs.
  • Evaluate and recommend materials, methodology, and technology to enhance the assimilation of new team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, adept at interpreting behavior.
  • Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate trustworthy behavior.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and customer service oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
