About the position

The Employee Relations Manager for Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is responsible for ensuring fair and respectful treatment of employees within Amazon's last mile delivery services. This role involves both proactive and reactive responsibilities, including collaboration with field operations managers and human resources, analyzing employee feedback, and implementing positive workplace relations programs. The position requires significant domestic travel and focuses on enhancing the employee experience through various initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with field operations managers, human resources, and contractors to influence employee relations practices.
  • Analyze employee and partner feedback to identify risks and gaps in workplace relations.
  • Create, audit, and sustain positive workplace relations programs.
  • Design and conduct training programs that promote best practices in employee relations.
  • Respond to crisis-oriented situations related to employee relations under time constraints.
  • Balance time between proactive initiatives and crisis-response efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law with an emphasis on labor and employee relations.
  • Experience supporting large hourly workforces is highly desired.
  • Successful record of creating, improving, and executing programs at scale.
  • Experience analyzing and using metrics to identify vulnerabilities and drive improvements in the employee experience.
  • Skilled in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree, JD, or other specialized training in labor/employee relations.
  • Experience building and launching programs that measurably impact positive engagement.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage projects through ambiguity.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills in written and verbal form, including public speaking and training.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
  • Previous experience managing operations.
