About the position

The Amazon Delivery Services Employee Relations (ER) team is seeking an ER Manager to support both Amazon and contractor teams in executing last mile delivery services. The role focuses on ensuring fair and respectful treatment of employees while promoting positive workplace relations. The ER Manager will engage in both proactive initiatives and reactive crisis management, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the employee experience across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with field operations managers, human resources, and contractors to influence and support employee relations initiatives.
  • Analyze employee and partner feedback to identify risks and gaps in workplace relations.
  • Create, audit, and sustain positive workplace relations programs.
  • Design and conduct training programs that promote best practices in workplace relations.
  • Respond to crisis-oriented employee relations issues under severe time constraints.
  • Balance time between proactive projects and reactive crisis-response efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law with an emphasis on labor and employee relations.
  • Experience supporting large hourly workforces is highly desired.
  • Successful record of creating, improving, and executing programs at scale.
  • Experience analyzing and using metrics to identify vulnerabilities and drive improvements in the employee experience.
  • Skilled in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree, JD, or other specialized training in labor/employee relations.
  • Experience building and launching programs that measurably impact positive engagement.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage projects through ambiguity.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills in written and verbal form, including public speaking and training.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
  • Previous experience managing operations.
