The role of the Employee Relations Manager is to manage employee relations functions throughout the organization. This may include but is not limited to conducting workplace investigations and managing through to completion, providing guidance and timely decisions on complex and escalated employee matters, disciplinary actions, terminations, and more. They will also be responsible for building and maintaining trust at all levels in a way which fosters and promotes a positive organizational culture; this may include hosting company-sponsored events, sending communication, providing training, etc. The ideal candidate is high energy, has a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for serving others. They should be comfortable working independently and as a contributing member of a team. The best candidate possesses the highest ethical standards, has the ability to handle confidential information appropriately and objectively, and is able to establish credibility and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER INCLUDES: Ensuring employee relations practices inspire trust and confidence throughout the organization. Conducting fair, neutral, and timely investigations of employees for performance/corrective action matters, to ensure all are resolved in accordance with company policy, and in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Providing guidance and support to management and employees on performance, conflict resolution, HR policies and procedures, employment/labor laws, EEO, and terminations to promote a fair and equitable work environment in consultation with the AVP and VP of Human Resources. Developing an investigation plan, conducting interviews, preparing investigation reports that include tracking the complaint and resolution, and making recommendations for corrective action, in consultation with the AVP and VP of Human Resources. Identifying problems and facilitating strategy development with HR leadership to resolve issues on a more holistic level.
