About the position

The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing all employee relations activities, policies, and procedures within the organization. This role involves providing strategic support and guidance to management, addressing workplace concerns, and developing proactive plans to mitigate employee relations risks. The position requires strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage employee grievances and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the management of employee relations processes and procedures.
• Conducting and assisting with employee relation issues to manage concerns and grievances.
• Identifying fair and inclusive processes for employee concerns or grievances.
• Providing strategic support and coaching to all levels of the company.
• Staying attuned to organizational changes to identify potential employee relations risks.
• Providing guidance to managers on employee behavior and performance.
• Assisting with the development and delivery of performance feedback or action plans.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records regarding reported matters.
• Interpreting and applying understanding of personnel policies and employment law.
• Maintaining integrity when managing employee relations issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
• 5 years of experience in human resource management.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and proactively resolve problems.
• Thorough understanding of state and federal labor laws.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified as SPHR or PHR preferred.
• Experience in negotiation techniques and dispute resolution.
